Cobra MR HH 425 LI VP Marine Professional Series VHF/GMRS Radio with NOAA offers VHF Band for U.S.A., Canadian and international channels allowing operation on any of the three (3) different channel maps established for these areas. Tri-watch monitors three (3) channels at once; emergency channel 16 in the VHF band and two (2) user selected channels. It provides instant access to channel 16 and channel 9 for emergency situations. GMRS Band offers UHF/FM ultra-clear long distance reception. 1815 combinations are possible when the 15 channels are combined with the 121 privacy codes. VOX allows the user's voice to be detected and the radio transmits without the need to press any buttons, freeing hands for other tasks. 5 VOX sensitivity levels allow the user to select at which point the radio will detect their voice. Advanced GMRS scan allows the user to scan channels, CTCSS privacy codes within a channel, DCS codes within a channel, or up to 10 memory locations to locate conversations in progress. This radio offers dual band receive and transmit. One button allows you to switch from the GMRS to VHF Bands. You can talk to GMRS users on the dock or ashore and easily switch to the VHF Band for routine or emergency vessel to vessel or vessel to shore communications.
One BAND key switches you between bands and you can choose from 1, 3 or 5* watts as well as flexible output power for short and long range communication. Not quite sure if the call was for you? Push the REWIND key to play back up to the last 20 seconds of audio and there are other bonus recording features included. This is a Public Alert Certified Weather Radio and the NOAA weather channels provide instant access to national all hazards and weather information, 24 hours a day. Weather alert with SAME alerts you with an audible tone and visual alarm only if threatening weather is nearby. SAME (Specific Area Message Encoding) allows setting your local area and filtering out warnings from further away. It has a speaker/microphone jack allowing you to connect optional Cobra lapel speaker/mic and other Cobra accessories. Unlimited channel memory allows memory programming for between 0 and 99 channels. All of the VHF and GMRS channels can be placed in memory. Lithium-Ion Polymer Battery allows for longer talk times, more successful charging and maintenance free operation. Scan all channels in band to find conversations in progress. Scan channels programmed in memory to find conversations in progress. Cross-band scanning allowing scans for conversations on both VHF and GMRS channels. Signal strength meter shows the strength of incoming or outgoing signals.
Button/Key Lock locks function buttons/keys to eliminate accidental change of settings. Battery tray with charge contacts allows charging of batteries by simply dropping in the cradle. Illuminated function keys allow high visibility of function keys. Keystroke tone signal confirms key activation. This feature is selectable and can be turned on or off. Illuminated large LCD display allows high visibility of display, up to 60% larger than the competition. Battery Saver Circuitry offers a unique circuit to extend the life of the batteries. If there are no transmissions within 10 seconds, the unit will automatically switch to battery saver mode. 10 selectable call tones allow the user to differentiate between up to 10 different parties on incoming calls. Roger beep tone is a confirmation tone indicates the completion of the user's transmission, and signals to others it is clear to talk. This feature is selectable and can be turned on or off. The default is off. Patented VibrAlert provides a silent alert for incoming calls that is ideal for noisy or all quiet environments. Submersible for 30 minutes in one meter deep water meets JIS7 standards. This all comes with a three year manufacturer warranty for products sold in the U.S.A.
